How we verify listings (methodology)
Kasauli Keys is an independent property discovery and advisory service for the Kasauli, Solan and Shimla hills. This page explains where our facts come from and how often we check them.
1. RERA check on every project
Each project's registration number is searched on the HP RERA public dashboard. We record the status, validity date or latest quarterly report, and the date we checked. Of the 26 projects listed today, 24 show an HP RERA registration number; the rest are clearly labelled with their status.
2. Every fact has a source
Prices, sizes, possession dates and amenities come from the developer's own website, the HP RERA record or property portals. Each project page lists its sources with the date checked (18 Oct 2026 for the current set). Where sources disagree we say so on the page instead of picking one.
3. Prices are asking prices
Published figures are asking prices, not registered sale prices. "On request" means we found no reliable public figure. We never invent a price, a unit count or availability.
4. Photos
We do not use developer or portal photos. Project cards show freely licensed photos of the surrounding area, labelled "Area photo" (credits). Renders labelled "Artistic impression" are supplied renders.
5. Rules and costs
Our Section 118 and stamp duty guides are written from the Act, the Rules, HP Revenue Department circulars and the stamp law in force, each cited. We recheck them when the law changes and show the date checked on each guide. They are not legal advice.
6. Independence and corrections
We compare projects across towns and budgets so buyers can choose; we are not the developer of the projects listed. If you spot an error, tell us through the form below and we correct it, noting the date on the page.
